Set 17 introduces significant changes to the TFT esports structure in the EMEA region. Here's a summary of the most important updates:
Tactician's Cups are replaced by a new 5-day, 2-weekend Tactician's Trials format. Week 1 follows the previous format, while Week 2 replaces the former Cup.
The Swiss system is being retired. Starting from Set 17, all days of Tactician's Trials will use the Snake Draft system for lobby seeding.
Qualifier Points are back for players placing 9th-64th in Trials. The top 4 players in the QP ranking will qualify for the Regional Finals Play-ins.
Every player must obtain a Participation Card on the CompeteTFT website. This is a mandatory requirement to participate in the Trials.
The Regional Finals structure has been updated, with a focus on Play-ins for top ladder players and QP leaders. The format now includes 5 games for Play-ins.
The competitive ecosystem is divided into four major regions: AMER (Americas including NA, BR, LATAM), EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa including CIS and MENA), APAC (Asia Pacific including Korea, Japan, OCE, and SEA), and CN (China).
